CHESS

A POPULAR GAME

Chess is a two-player strategy parlor game played on a checkerboard with 64 squares arranged in an 8×8 square grid. Played by many people worldwide, chess is believed to be derived from the Indian game CHATURANGA sometime before the 7th century. Chaturanga is additionally the likely ancestor of the East Asian strategy games XIANGQI (Chinese chess), JANGGI (Korean chess), and SHOGI (Japanese chess). Chess reached Europe via Persia and Arabia by the 9th century, thanks to the Umayyad conquest of Hispania. The pieces assumed their current properties in Spain within the late 15th century, and therefore the modern rules were standardized within the 19th century.

Some of the super basic rules are mentioned below-

1. Setting up the chess board-

At the start of the sport the chessboard is laid out in order        that each player has the white (or light) color square within        the bottom right-hand side. The chess pieces are then                arranged an equivalent way whenever . The second row (or      rank) is crammed with pawns. The rooks enter the corners,      then the knights next to them, followed by the bishops, and      eventually the queen, who always goes on her own                  matching color (white queen on white, black queen on              black), and therefore the king on the remaining square.

3.Choose who plays first-

The player with the white pieces always moves first. Therefore, players generally decide who will get to be white or luck like flipping a coin or having one player guess the colour of the hidden pawn within the other player's hand. White then makes a move, followed by black, then white again, then black then on until the end of the match. Having the ability to maneuver first may be a tiny advantage which provides the white player a chance to attack directly.

So now these are the only things a beginner needs to now!

 Till then bye see ya!
